I am originally an exerciser/fitness instructor and am now just taking up yoga and sticking with it. I really like Rodney Yee’s DVDs and many of Gaiam’s products. I love the props and the DVD that comes with the kit. However, I would recommend just buying this kit in a sporting goods store or even Target and check the contents of the kit before you walk out the door – or save your receipt in case anything’s missing. I requested and received mine for a Christmas gift however it was lacking the strap. I contacted Gaiam about this through their website underneath the option of “your Amazon.com order” since they have a “store” on here. The person that I received the gift from would have to send the entire kit back for an exchange simplly because it was purchased on Amazon.com. I even gave the Gaiam rep. the name/address of the person that ordered the kit. If it had been purchsed through Gaiam’s website – it seems as though they could have just sent the missing strap but because it was through Amazon the entire kit would have had to go back. I did not want to give it up so I just went to Target and bought the cotton strap for $7. Should have just requested the yoga kit and recommended a store to buy it from instead of trying to save a few bucks on Amazon.
Good kit but check the contents and reconsider purchasing online if you want to start or enhance your yoga practice quickly – BEWARE – you might be left waiting around for returns/exchanges.

I was impressed with the quality of the items because to tell you the truth, i was nervous it was going to be cheap for the price. The dvd that comes with the items was very helpful. I am not new to yoga, but I am new to yoga at home and I have found the days I use Yiam’s daily routine, i feel better throughout the day.

This is a great deal because you can pay this same price for just a mat. This comes with the mat, a brick, a strap, and a DVD.
I personally love the DVD because I’ve done Yoga before and know the names of the moves, but I can see where beginners would have a hard time with the daily routine. If you don’t know the moves you may have to watch the DVD without following along for a time or two, because he goes faster than those on my other DVD’s and you may get lost. Once you get the hang of the moves, this is a GREAT DVD to do Yoga with. I like that he does it faster because it feels like more of a workout than a relaxation thing (though it does come with a meditation section and the morning routine is easier and slower than the daily routine so you have several options to choose from).
